Name one “Religion” that is not guilty of this before you throw stones. I am not defending Mormons but all of the “Organized” Religions that I have been exposed to are rife with hypocrisy and outright lies.

LikeDislikeFrankly that sounds like an argument against all organized religion. If you’re not defending Mormons then who are you defending?

LikeDislikeIt’s ridiculous to claim that all religions support lying. In fact, the Bible condemns lying, and, as a lifelong Christian and son of a pastor/missionary/religion professor, I was always taught not to lie. That some Christians may violate this teaching is of course undeniable. And there are Christian hypocrites just as there are atheist hypocrites, though admittedly when one aspires to a higher morality, it is obviously easier to criticize them when they fail to live up to it.
The previous comments speak to one truth–the uncritical anti-religious bigotry of the posters. Nothing new, but sad, none-the-less.

I am Catholic, which means I am Christian. I have issue with what you said here.
Just because someone does not believe as, or what, you do does not make your morality HIGHER than theirs! Just because an Atheist, or Agnostic, does not subscribe to religion does not mean that they do not have morals, or HIGH morals. I have known “non-believers”, by this I mean they follow NO religious beief. There morals were every bit as good, as high as any “believer”. Sometimes better, as they didn’t filter their views through a particular set of rules, or dogmas. When these people helped, it was because it was right, and it was good. It was done without strings, or “invitation”, and without expectation of recognition, or return. It was done because they were decent humans. Does the Bible not say “Judge not, lest be ye judged”?

LikeDislikeFrom what I just recently read, prevarication is rife amongst the hierarchy of the LDS church, This came from a pro-LDS website!

LikeDislikeMichael nobody said that an athiest can not live a good moral seeming life but if you are a true,Christian you will realize that they are lost souls that no matter how the live will burn in hell at the end of their life. Where does their “morals” come from ? You as a Christian should know that moral standards come from above not form this earth. If you feel different then this then take a good look at your own faith or lack there of .
