Underwear
There’s a whole set of Mormon underwear (they call them ‘temple garments” I’d like to know a whole lot more about, but Mormi seem pretty embarrassed and it’s hard to get the straight dope.
1) Do men and women both wear them? are they cut differently for different bodies?
2) Are they ever allowed to take them off? for sports? for going swimming? during sex?
5) Do people have several pairs and change them every day?
6) Can you also wear gentile underwear?
7) does the church make money selling them to you?
By: Alain
Yes men and women who make covenants (usually after marriage or before serving a mission) will wear them. Yes, they have several pairs, we sweat just like anyone else and they need to be washed. it’s just like any other type of underwear, but a reminder to keep one’s self pure and resist temptation. Yes you are allowed to take them off for those 3 events. It’s simply encouraged to wear them as much as possible.

LikeDislikeWhy would wearing magic underwear be any wierder than Sikhs who carry a kirpan and never cut their hair? Any how much wierder is it that Joe Smith translated a bunch of golden plates which disappeared; than a god talking to us from a burning bush?
LikeDislikeNo, both very weird indeed. Delusional even. Think about this; if you wear weird underwear because you need to be reminded to stay “pure”(whatever that means) and if you speak to an invisible being and sing and chant to this being, and you do this without the context of religion or within the confines of a church or congregation, you would be thought to have a mental deficiency and may even hauled to an institution. Yet if you claim that you are a memeber of a ‘religion’ and yoh are ‘praying’, its quite alright. Protected and fought for BY LAW!
Just do what everyone else is doing and they may not notice that you’re INSANE!

LikeDislikeI was not raised in the faith; I converted. Also, unlike some religions, LDS encourages us to think for ourselves and not just take someone’s say-so. In addition, Jesus spoke of “other sheep.” Is it not reasonable to assume that his “other sheep would have his commandments and doctrine?
LikeDislike1) Yes, and they’re cut differently for different body sizes. Members are reminded to not change them to fit styles, primarily as a concern for modesty.
2) Members keep garments on for any reasonable activity. Activities for which they remove them and wear ‘gentile underwear’ as you say include the three you mentioned.
5) Yes, at least hopefully they do. Yuck.
6) Members can and do, like in question 2. However, they remind members of promises to follow Jesus Christ so typically they wear them when possible.
7) They are sold for money but the price is pretty much at cost. Primary revenue generation for the church is through tithing donations, typically 10% of the members’ incomes.

LikeDislikeIsn’t the belief in those garments like believing in magic? True, many religions have rituals that are indistinguishable from magic and animism, but Mormonism’s are particularly funny. You must admit that wearing a cross or a Star of David is far less funny than magic underwear.

LikeDislikeI believe that many churches ask for a 10% tithe. It is optional, and the money goes to helping people, communities, and other countries in need, whether they are Mormon or not. Money also goes to building church buildings, temples, for planning and helping youth attend activities for the youth in the church (Girl’s camp, Scout Camp, Youth Conference, etc.), and to providing food/clothing, etc to people in need, as I said previously. Money is also donated to charities and things like that. The prophet, apostles, bishops, and other leaders throughout the church are not payed for their services. Service is service only when it is offered with no strings attached.

LikeDislikeMany religions have sacred garments. I am a strong supporter of marriage equality, but I think this website is harming the cause by promoting bias and negative stereotypes. You might argue that the Mormons are doing the same thing to gays, but continuing the behavior does not help anything.
And … missionaries lies to proselytes about them.
I specifically brought up this issue to my parents when they were talking to missionaries and considering conversion. My mother asked the missionary, who said “Oh, no. We don’t do that anymore.”
Yet, my now-Mormon mom and dad wear these things. And the “modesty” business? That’s aimed at *women.*
What is it that the missionaries are taught? Oh, yes. “Milk before meat” … which translates to sidestepping any difficult questions asked of them by proselytes who might find it creepy to be told what kind of drawers they’re expected to wear 24/7.

Nobody in the church is ‘expected’ to wear garments, if you choose to make certain covenents, you choose to wear the garment as a reminder…it is important to remember that the church does not make, coerce, or expect you to do anything, the whole organization is run by volunteer service. Also, remember that these things you talk about so lightly are sacred to some people and just because you do not understand it doesn’t mean you should make fun of it.

THAT MIT ROMNEY IS NOT A CHISTIAN.I WAS TOLD BY AFRIEND THAT THEY
BELIEVE THERE WAS A JESUS BUT DO NOT BELIEVE HE WAS A SAVIOR
Was this answer helpful?
LikeDislikeYes, Mormons are Christians. In fact, the real name of the “Mormon” church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They believe very much that Jesus is the Savior and redeemer of the world. Above all else, they believe this. The wordy title of the church means that this is th church that Jesus would lead if he were on the earth today.
LikeDislikeOh yes they do believe in Jesus Christ but only because Christians say if you don’t you can’t go to heaven. Mormons believe that basically anyone that isn’t a Mormon though is Satanic if they don’t believe what they do. They also believe that God is an alien from another planet that has been given his own world(Earth) to rule. Jesus Christ was a product of this alien God having sex with the virgin Mary. They believe that Jesus Christ in fact visited the Americas and that the Mormon religion has been in the Americas since 2600 b.c. which is not based on any factual information. They also believe that unless you tithe 10% of your lifetime wages you will not be allowed into the highest kingdom of heaven which they believe is a hierarchical system based on how many people you convert to the religion. According to Mormons Jesus Christ is half alien and half human and that the father, the son, and the holy spirit are all separate entities and that God is of flesh and bone. They believe current prophecies override previous ones. They believe that if something doesn’t feel or sound right to them it only confirms that their religion is the one and only right or correct religion and that if they are wrong that God will forgive them because they believe in Jesus Christ. I get from this that they can basically believe in a bunch of hoopla and crap because they ultimately believe in Jesus Christ. They will not allow anyone to step foot in their temples unless you are Mormon. My sisters Mormon friend got married in the temple and she was not allowed to even attend the wedding because of this belief. That sounds pretty negative, uninviting, and evil to me. My sister is a baptist so if they strongly believe in Jesus and the same God Christians do then why would they ban another believing Christian from their church? The God in the bible is forgiving and loves all people that accept his son Jesus Christ as their Savior. They contradict the bible all over the place in the book of Mormon. Mormons are nothing more than a fabricated religion with one common belief with Christians only to save them if they are wrong from being banished to hell for all eternity. The internet is probably one of their biggest fears as well because it exposes all the crazy beliefs that they have. The Mormon church has started their mission of sugar coating their crazy ideas by having these supposed wholesome, family oriented, good loving people portrayed in these commercials so we will all think that they are these great people and will vote for Mitt Romney so they can spread more of their psychotic ideas with one of their own in the White House running the most powerful countries in the world. They also have billboards and are trying to get Romney elected badly by spending tons of money on propaganda to hide their true beliefs. This scares me and is ultimately against the constitution of the United States which states their must be a separation of church and state. Mitt Romney does not believe this because he is a Mormon and his ultimate responsibilities lie with his church and the book of Mormon. Mormons also believe that non-Mormons are below them and will also be below them in heaven. I find this religion to be anti biblical and mocking the Christian religion. They also have sacred underwear that must be worn which is bizarre in itself. Just do some research into the Mormon religion and you will see that they are not Christians and only consider themselves to be in order to say that if there other crazy beliefs aren’t right they can still go to heaven.

LikeDislikeYou are filled with a lot of anger. I do not understand what we have done to you. Your sister would have been allowed to attend the wedding if it was in the church. The Temples are sacred, honorable places, and people that enter them should try to be as nonjudgmental as they can. Since people who are not members do not like us, of course they cannot enter. We wear our “underwear” so we can be reminded of the covenants we make. It is kind of like “the armor of God”. Modesty is expected, but the world could use a little more modesty. It is by choice we wear our garments. What doctrine states that it is OK to hate someone? To judge someone? We are a people that think everybody is entitled to believe in who they choose. They are allowed to worship how they want. More people should practice this principle.

LikeDislike@nathan. Accusation #1. Mormons believe all non members to be satanic. Answer: this is false. We believe that there are many hood people all over the world who are not LDS.
2: we do not believe God is an alien. We believe he is the literal father of our spirits, as stated in the new testament.
3:temples. Um.. You must be a trmple recommend holder to enter the temple. Which means that not even all “Mormons” can enter unless they are worthy. However, regular church buildings welcome everyone who wishes to come inside. It is even stared in large print on the outside of each chapel.
4:no factual basis for book of Mormon claims.
Actually, there have been several archaeological findings that support those claims.
5:tithing gets you to the highest heaven. No, tithjng gets you the privilege of helpinthose around you, and allows you to enter the temple. (part of getting a recommend.)also, the amount of people that you convert, or not, has no bearing on hour standing in the church’s eyes or in your place in heaven. You do not earnsqlvation by bringing more people into the church. However, “It becometh every man who hath been warned to warn his neighbor.”. As stated in the old testament.
Oh, and God does love everyone.
next: god forgives all. This is true, to the extent that they trpent, and obey his laws.he is perfect in mercy, and perfect in justice. If a person has sinned, and not repented. How can god allow mercy to rob justice? Not repenting is like telling Christ that you do t need the atonement. That you are above it. No one except Christ is perfect. God cannot allow the law of justice, punishment for sin, to be robbed by the law of mercy, forgiveness through true repentance and acceptance of Christ through our actions. (answering Jesus’ call to “follow me.”)
When we repent, god forgives us, and forgets it ever happened. But, only on conditions of a true repentance.
Next:what do you have against the aLDS church that you slander us by making false accusations as to the church political agenda? Mitt ri.ney is first and foremost a human being. It is Truely sad that you think the church has anything to do with the government. Christ said that his kingdom I’d not of this world. Meaning the “world? Secular things. The church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints still follows that statement. We abide by the laws, and participate in the political process as good citizens should do. Our choices in that field are our own. In fact, every presidential election the church leadership sends out a letter to the congregations to participate as WE DEEM FIT. They don’t encourage one way or the other, just that we do our duty as citizens of the U.S.. True, the I’m a Mormon ads are meant to show us in a bette might, but only because there seem to be so many people out there who, like you, have many misconceptions about us and think we are not normal people.
Next:Mormons view non members as inferior. This is false. Utterly and blatantly false. We view nonmembers as children of god, who are trying to live their lives as well as they can, with the knowledge of god that they have. Like I said before. There are many good people outside of the church. As for heaven. Well. The way that we look at it, there are 3 places you can go, as stated in Corinthians, the lowest place is for those who did not keep the commandments of god, and didn’t repent of their sins. The next is for those who lived good lives, and were good people, but did not accept Christ fully, and the last is for those who kept all of god’s commandments and repented and fully accepted Christ and his teachings.
Next: Bible and Book of zmormon contradicts.
Um… Have you ever actually read the book of Mormon? The only “contradictions” that you could find are ones that you would have had to make up. The teachings live up to a tee in biymth books. I ask you to give a single instance where doctrine taught in one book contradicts fortune in the other.
Lastly, the temple garment is a reminder of the covenants or promises that we have made with God. If you made a promise with gos that effected your eternal payh from that time forward, wouldn’t you want something special to remind you? Something that you have with you all day, evey day? The purpose of the garment is just that. And i am truly grateful for it. It reminds me to keep myself moral, and pure. So that God will be pleased with
How i have used his gifts of life and a body.
Now, i know that you have your religion, and i respect that, whatever it may be. As stated in The Articles of Faith. (written by Joseph Smit.). “Ww claim the privilege of worshiping almighty god according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how where, or what they may.”
As for missionaries, they wish to force no one to believe anything. They just want to share what they have learned for themselves. Again the old testament: it becometh evey man who hath been warned, to warn his neighbor.
And to sum it all up, to truly state the integral beliefs of the church:
“We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all me; indeed we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul–We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endures many things and we hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these Things.”
oh, and I am not mad at you, though my post might seem a tad defensive. I just want to clarify the misconceptions you have. It makes mrme sad to see do many people trying to tear down the church because they just go along with what the people around them say.
Thank you for your time.
Your friend.

LikeDislikeHi Aaron,
Thanks for the fuller response – most interesting. You state that Mormons “believe in being honest, true, …”. That being the case, why have more Mormons not stood up and criticised Mitt Romney for his statements … regardless of your own political opinions, Mitt has been on every side of every debate and therefore must have been being dishonest 50% of the time. To those of us who are not Mormons, it appears as if the religion is cool with people saying whatever they need to say at the time in pursuit of power. Like it or not, Mitt is your most visable ambassador right now and Mormons should take the opportunity to keep him honest.
Anyway, best of luck to you in life and in future,

LikeDislikeI’m a follower of Jesus Christ and Christ alone. Jesus came to die for all and atone us for all of our sins. He came to us because we couldn’t earn our way to God. Your overly religious ways and sacramental trinkets are repulsive to God. We live by the New Testament. No one in his heart has not committed sin or broken a commandment. He came that we may have life and have it more abundantly! Live in freedom and not bondage! The only true testament is that of Jesus Christ and the inspired word of God!
I am disgusted by any “Christian” religion that says we live by mans rules! We tithe because Jesus gave us Malachi 3:10. It is the only time he asks us to test him. We do it from the heart and out of cheerfulness because of his grace. Not because it will gain us status symbol in the church. If you have to do this to earn your way you’re surely mistaken and are attending the wrong church.
Secondly, it appears the Mormon church follows the old laws of sin and death. Coffee and wine are not wrong. What is wrong is being addicted to those things and abusing them. Jesus drank fermented wine, but never became drunk.
Any book supplementing the word of God is not the inspired word of God. Please I ask you to ask God to grant you freedom from all of these man made philosophies and to open your eyes to the truth. We are not to be of the world but we have to live in it. There is ONE kingdom of God and there is ONE God. The God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow is the God of all of heaven, and earth. He will not compete. I send blessings and I pray that your eyes will be opened to the truth. Every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Lord over all! Not Lord of the United States but of All!
Peace be to you you all.

LikeDislikeNathan, I wonder, have you ever read a single word in The Book Of Mormon? All of our beliefs are in that book. If you’ve never even read it, how would you even know anything about us. We believe that Jesus Christ is our saviour and our redeemer. We believe that God is the father. No, he never “had sex with Mary” that event never happened. He gave her the gift of Jesus. Where did you get all this untrue information? I’d really be happy to know where you found all of this so I can polietly correct them. Mormonism is not a cult. We are Christians because we believe Jesus is the son, and God is the father. Temples are our sacred places where we do sacred things. Not all mormons even get to enter the temple. Tithing is for building our temples and building His kingdom on Earth. Me being only 13 years old, I know a lot about my church, more than you probably do. Temple garmets are optional to wear. No one that belongs to my ward wears them. My parents don’t wear them. Don’t get information off the internet anymore. A whole bunch of morons put that kind of stuff online. Personally, I don’t believe Mitt Romney should even be a Mormon. He doesn’t care about anyone that belongs to the church, and he doesn’t care about the poor. Me belonging to poor family, our lives would probably suck if Romney became pres. You don’t have to believe our teachings, just don’t spread false information online please.

LikeDislikeWe discussed this just last week in our men’s meeting at church and concluded that being a Christian is more a matter of behavior than one of doctrine. I think if you are committed to following the Savior in your life and habits, you are a Christian. And, if you do not follow the Savior in your life and choices, then it really doesn’t matter what church you belong to, or what doctrines you profess. So are Mormons Christians? The ones who are committed to follow the Savior are, and I’d like to think that is most of us.

If we did not believe that, we could not have the name “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latte-day Saints”. We actually use Jesus to in our name so others will know who we believe in. How many other churches do that? They use names of other things so, how can they be Christ-like or Christian. Names of churches should be named for who the church is built for.
LikeDislike“If we did not believe that, we could not have the name…”
That’s a silly assertion. I could found a church with the name “Jesus Christ” in it and that wouldn’t make it a Christian church by any meaningful measure.
How about if I believe there was a guy named Jesus, who was the son of God, sent as our savior, who was a top-grade pastry chef? He traveled to Europe after his resurrection to spread the joy of pastries into what is now modern France. Is it still Christianity? Because, hey, I said it’s Jesus, right? So it must be, regardless of how far detached my Jesus is from your Jesus.

LikeDislike2. Since the essence of the gospel is free will the question about being allowed to take them off sounds strange. Mormons decide whether they will wear the garments or not and don’t need anyone’s permission, although they are encouraged to wear them as much as possible. The garments serve as a constant reminder of covenants made in the temple, and it’s good to be constantly reminded of promises made. It doesn’t make sense to wear garments for the three activities mentioned, so I don’t wear them then, and I don’t know anyone else who does. I also take them off for physical work in the summer when I only wear a light shirt and try to stay cool. Other Mormons might make a different choice in that circumstance, but that’s up to them. The garments also encourage modesty for both men and women. I’ve tried going without a shirt for work in the heat, and I felt naked, so I wear a T-shirt, but I don’t judge others.

Why would Mormon’s spend Millions of dollars denying gay people the right to marry? Gay people are not trying to force Mormon’s to have gay marriages, Yet Mormon’s seem bent on forcing straight marriage down the throats of gay people! STOP IT! If you don’t like gay marriage don’t have one, but stop trying to control others. Especially others who have a right to believe differently than you and live differently than you. Denying gay folks marriage rights is mean, judgmental, and narrow-minded. It does not reflect Jesus teaching of love your neighbor. You show love by treating others the way you want to be treated. Believing gays shouldn’t get married is one thing. Actively working to prevent them by law from doing so is another, and is wrong. Gays are not trying to force Mormons into gay marriage and Mormons should stop trying to force Gays into straight marriages.

Given the LDS church’s support last year of the gay housing issue in Salt Lake County, I think we need to reevaluate their “bias” against the community. As I’ve come to understand, the concern is more along the “rights of association” issues. If the law permits “gay marriage”, then would the LDS church be forced to conduct such marriages against their belief system? The threat of “hate crimes” charges is of concern.
So, I would ask, is there a middle ground upon which both communities can meet and agree?

LikeDislikeIf you watch the documentary 8: The Mormon Proposition (available on Netflix)you will see that there was more to it than just whether or not LDS churches would have to perform the ceremonies for gay marriages.

LikeDislikeI’m pretty sure there are alot more Christians involved in that battle. Yes I think Moromon’s beliefs are borderline-crazy, but so are those of many other “mainstream” religions. Is it any more/less crazy to believe the Virgin Mary was magically impregnated by God (mainstream Christianity) as opposed to PHYSICALLY impregnated (Mormon)?? People believe crazy stuff, but to them it’s NOT crazy. Just listened to a “born-again” Christian prattle on about how gay people are following the devil, and can be CURED of homosexuality. She campaigned vociferously for Romney.
People, its 2012, NOT 1812.
Do as you wish, as long as it HARMS NONE, Love thy brother, Do unto others, etc.
this is a satirical yet very accurate video about the mormon temple undergarments

LikeDislikeMy comment is specifically directed at Nathan. And in particular the part about
non-Mormons not being allowed in the temple. It is kind of like a non-baptized catholic
not allowed to receive the body of Christ (holy communion)
Every religion had their beliefs. And you should not judge what you don’t know.

LikeDislikeKristi, that comparison is of two dissimilar situations. Holy communion is only a portion of a mainstream Christian church’s service. ANYONE can attend a Christian church service, but if they are not baptized they can not take communion. However, EXCLUDING people from ~their own families’ weddings, etc.~ is strictly an exclusionary, prejudiced practice that separates non-Mormon family members from ‘the chosen ones.’ That is really sad. I can’t imagine being a parent who is not allowed to see their child get married, simply because their child chose to marry outside the family religion. If anything, the Mormon church should WELCOME the new family members with open arms as their child is joining ‘the family.’ But no — this practice just illustrates the “holier than thou” attitude you guys believe every day. I wonder: What Would Jesus Do? Well, let’s see…Jesus was Jewish. And I have attended a couple of Jewish ceremonies (Bar Mitzvahs, etc.) — even in the temple — although I’m not Jewish. So it follows that Jesus would probably welcome ALL family and friends to join in the happy occasion, IN THE TEMPLE, and maybe turn some water into wine (like he was known to do sometimes). Even if Jesus didn’t fully embrace his Judaism (because of those money changers and merchants in the temple), I think he still would hold ceremonies were anyone could be present. Because Jesus would never turn anyone away.

LikeDislikePlease understand that the temple is a place for those who are ready to receive promises that have serious consequences eternally, according to LDS beliefs. Sort of like a contract with God: You don’t read or understand the contract but still sign it, means you are accountable for the contract. Many LDS Marriages also have receptions where anyone can go to, in the Chapels.

LikeDislikeAny body can enter Mormon churches for weddings and services. The Temples are held sacred and not even all Mormons can enter it. You want to enter our churches? Come on in!

LikeDislikeYes, Kristi, the remark about Communion is correct. Still, each and every person is welcomed into any Christian Church. Christ taught us to love one another; up close and personal, not just outside the Church doors.

LikeDislikeIn my work as a nurse I saw a lot of garments, as a lot of Mormons live in the community where I worked. When the very devout women were getting a shower, they would step all the way out of the garment, and let it settle around one ankle, and leave that ankle out of the shower. When they got out of the shower, they would place the foot of the clean garment onto their clean ankle, THEN remove the old one so they were always having the garment on.
Same thing when they delivered. We had to remove their garment all the way down to the one ankle and push it out of he way. When we showered Mom, we could put a new garment onto an ankle, pull it up, THEN remove the soiled one.
I say if it makes you feel holy, why not.Not my choice, but I do respect the rights and rituals of most faiths AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT HURT ANYONE ELSE!

LikeDislikeSince Jesus gave Peter the keys and set him as the rock mankind has gone out of its way to modify, adjust and redirect His church and His message. It’s no wonder that confusion, disagreement and doubt reigns. Do you see any diabolical hand in all this????
Back to basics: #1: Love God, #2:Love each other ( that’s “everyone”, even your enemies). Jesus is the “living” Son of the “living” God. He is the Christ. That’s His title ( the anointed one), not His last name. Remember that and use it appropriately. It is important and makes a difference as to how you relate to Him.
God is Love. Live like you believe it.

LikeDislikeIf you need special underwear to remind you to be pure, then you really have some religion problems.
That is attaching a shovel to your door so you remember to shovel the snow in the winter time, due? (Duh if you are religious to that full extent anyway)

LikeDislikeIt’s a reminder: like wearing a cross the way other Christians do, or the white collar of a catholic priest . . . .etc. It’s not so strange. Many religions have similar things. Catholics, Buddhists, Jews, Sikhs, Hindus . . . Before you start making fun of another religion, maybe do your homework?
Why do you care what Mormons believe? That is a serious question. If you want to understand, that’s one thing, but if you just want something to mock, why bother? It just makes you a bigot. I could make fun of dozens of mainstream christian beliefs. Ask questions but don’t attack the answers. Mormons aren’t bad people. They don’t believe in bad things.
Oh, and one final thought from the countless posts on the subject on this site: Mormons do not hate gays. I don’t know a lot of gay people, probably only four of five actually, but three of them are practicing Mormons. BYU, a Mormon university, has a GLBT demographic that live in the open. They also have groups that advocate for national equality of GLBT people. This wasn’t always the case, but it wasn’t always the case in a lot of places. Ignorance is abating on that issue, and Mormons, like everyone else, are righting their views.
I would vote in favor of gay rights. Full gay rights. I have no problem or issue with it at all. I don’t believe gays are going to hell. I don’t believe I am better than anyone. Lots of Mormons feel the same way I do. Lots don’t. But that’s just the nature of people, not Mormons.

LikeDislikeCurious. There are so many sites online that question LDS beliefs or call them crazy, more than twice the amount of ANY other church, and about half that in pro-church. It is like something is influencing it to be that way.

LikeDislikeI don’t like a lot of things about mormonism. Such as wearing those stupid long underwear, having to love everybody,no matter what. I’m also against the so called “tithing” commandment. That’s totally WACKO! Putting tithing before paying your mortgage, yeah right.

LikeDislikeNear the end of the Old Testament, God says (and I’m Paraphrasing): You are robbing me, and pretending you aren’t. you ask how? by tithes and offerings. because of that, I’m cursing this nation. bring all the tithes in so that there be meat in mine house. Just try it, an you will be blessed so much that you can’t see them all.

Listen, I am mormon. I can tell you all about it. Temple garments are like undies, but we can take them off. We useally just wear them when we dress up. They make us look better.Mormons aren’t bad. They believe in god. They read a book that is basically just history. We are all family, so we think it would be worth it to just be nice.I am not embarrassed about it. I am proud. I stand up for myself and others. It can be hard. I have read untrue things on the web that has really piss*d me off. Sorry. But I stay strong. As long as I know the truth , I got two thumbs up!

LikeDislikeI think understand why most are confused about Garments. People think that the LDS church believes they are magical. They aren’t. Garments are in fact just cloth shirts and pants. People who are LDS wear them as a reminder of covenants(Or promises)they make with god and their spouse, to be faithful to Commandments of God and to be faithful to each other. So its a lot like a wedding ring. Though some people break their covenants as Mira was saying.Though you can’t judge a set of beliefs on peoples actions. People make mistakes, and break promises.
